The Board of the Rotary Club of Blackwood recently approved a donation of $1,000.00 to the Uniting Church of Blackwood to support their Mainly Music programme. The donation will assist in the purchase of a new larger silk parachute, a new wireless head microphone and new children's chairs for their ever expanding music programme. Sue Dolman, wife of immediate Past President & current Youth & Vocation Director of the Rotary Club presented the cheque on behalf of the club to Carys Penney. Carys and the other organisers were rapt at the generosity of the club and most appreciative of the club's support.

Sue took the opportunity to remind all parents and children present about the forthcoming Rotary Christmas Fair. She highlighted the fact that money raised by the Rotary Club at this and other events are donated back to the local community.

These donated funds were part of the funds totalling $3,200.00 received by the Rotary Club of Blackwood from the Adelaide Arts Orchestra when that organisation wound up it's financial affairs.
